Pinned items

Pinned items works like stars, flags or bookmarks in other inbox tools. They are a way to mark important items that you want to keep around and easily accessible, even when they would normally be deleted by retention rules.

Retention and storage

Items that you have pinned are completely exempt from automatic deletion. They will not be deleted when their retention period expires, nor will they be deleted by the FIFO (First In, First Out) storage policy.

However, if your storage limit is reached and you only have pinned items left, your inbox will not be able to free up space automatically and will instead reject new items until you unpin or delete items manually.
