Terms of Service

Welcome to Sinkbox! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sinkbox website and services (the "Service"), provided by Bedriva Sverige AB, a Swedish corporation ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using Sinkbox, you agree to be bound by these Terms. This includes visiting our website (sinkbox.dev and any of our subdomains) as well as any other form of communication with this service (e.g. email, phone, support tools and other IT communication). If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Sinkbox provides a mail catching service for testing environments, HTTP drop-in links for existing services, and HTTP dump endpoints. The Service is intended primarily for software development and testing purposes.

2. Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of Sinkbox, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Plans: We offer both free and paid subscription plans. The features and limits of each plan are described on our pricing page.
  • Payment Processor: Payments are processed through our Merchant of Record, TBD. By subscribing, you agree to their terms and conditions in addition to these Terms.
  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually).
  • Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Sinkbox for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Using the Service to send or facilitate "spam" or unsolicited bulk messages.
  • Attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or bypassing any measures we use to prevent or restrict access.
  • Using the Service to store or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Reverse engineering or attempting to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Using the Service to capture or store sensitive personal data without proper consent and compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Your usage is also subject to our Fair Usage Policy, which sets forth limits on the number of ingestions and other activities to ensure fair access for all users.

5. Data Retention Policy

Sinkbox is a tool for capturing and inspecting data.

  • Temporary Storage: You acknowledge that Sinkbox is not a long-term storage or backup solution. We reserve the right to delete captured emails and HTTP payloads after a certain period, depending on your subscription plan.
  • Privacy Policy: Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal information.

Data is automatically deleted based on your subscription plan:

  • Free Plan: Data is retained for 24 hours.
  • Starter Plan: Data is retained for 7 days.
  • Pro Plan: Default retention is 30 days (user-configurable down to 1 minute).
  • Business Plan: Default retention is 365 days (user-configurable down to 1 minute).
  • Custom Plan: Retention as specified in the individual agreement.

Note: Once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You are responsible for exporting any data you wish to keep before the retention period expires.

6. Support

We provide technical support via email.

  • Standard Response Time: We aim to respond within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, European Business Hours).
  • Urgent Issues: For critical service outages or system instability, we strive for faster response times, including weekends and holidays, on a best-effort basis.
  • No Guaranteed Uptime: While we strive for high availability, Sinkbox is provided without any guaranteed service level agreement (SLA) regarding uptime.

7. Refunds and Evaluation

Sinkbox offers a Free version of the Service to allow users to evaluate its suitability before committing to a paid subscription.

  • No-Refund Policy: Since the Service can be tested for free, we do not offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. All payments made via our Merchant of Record, are generally non-refundable unless required by mandatory consumer law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. BEDRIVA SVERIGE AB EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BEDRIVA SVERIGE AB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of Sinkbox shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden (Gothenburg District Court as the first instance).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bedriva Sverige AB and its officers, directors, and employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from your (or anyone using your account’s) violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Export Control and Sanctions

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government or EU embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government or EU list of prohibited or restricted parties.

13. Class Action Waiver (Mainly For US Users)

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You expressly waive your right to file or participate in a class action or seek relief on a class basis.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting the new Terms on our website or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
